Bel Ga – Expanding Their Footprint
On 19 January 2023, Bel Ga has expanded their footprint with a Parent Stock Farm and a Hatchery located in Dong Nai province. This is an important milestone for Bel Ga in their strategic growth plans and an essential step forward for the company to serve their growing customer base. With this Parent Stock farm and the Hatchery, the total capacity from Bel Ga Parent Stocks farms is 442.000 parent stock and could supply the Vietnamese farmers with 1.330 million premium-quality Day Old Chicks & Day-Old Layers per week.
The Hi-tech Poultry Hatchery in Dong Nai is designed to produce approximately 14 million Day old chicks annually. After the first hatchery in Lam Dong province and the second in Tay Ninh, this is the third hatchery of Bel Ga in Vietnam. Operations will be managed by Bel Ga in accordance with international standards.
Furthermore, the Parent Stock Farm with a total area of 13 hectares has the capacity to produce more than 10 million Hatching Eggs per year. The new Bel Ga farm located in Dinh Quan district is invested in and built according to an advanced model and applied modern closed procedures to ensure the quality of the chicks.
The expansion of the parent stock farm and hatchery in Dong Nai by Bel Ga not only generates employment opportunities for the local community but also raises the breeding and hatching capacity to satisfy the growing demand for disease-free, healthy, and traceable genetics of poultry farmers.
Rick van der Linden, General Director of Bel Ga Vietnam, shared: “With the additional capacity, we can process all the output of our Parent Stock Farms and continue supplying high-quality chicks to our customers.”
He emphasizes that Bel Ga’s focus is on breeding and that Bel Ga will not step into commercial farming.
“Our focus is on our core business, which is the production of the highest quality Day-Old-Chicks and Day-Old-Layers in the Vietnamese market. We want to empower our customers by sharing knowledge and support, but we will never compete with them. We strongly believe in the entrepreneurship of independent farmers.” said Mr. Rick van der Linden.
According to Kris van Daele, Operations Director of Bel Ga Vietnam, the procedures and quality standards of the Parent Stock Farm and Hatchery will be updated immediately following Bel Ga requirements.
“We have sent our best people to start training the teams and ensure focus on quality and biosecurity. We are confident that we can supply the same quality from this location as our customers are used to from our other hatcheries.” said Mr. Kris Van Daele.
